In winter the cold and heating can cause dry skin by eliminating its hydration. To keep a good care of your skin it is important to learn following a daily routine based on deep hydration, especially in this season. To have a luminous skin it is essential proper cleansing, exfoliation and hydration. And of course, it is always important to drink plenty of water because it is the main source of hydration of the skin between half litre and two litres of water.
As we said during the week it is important to exfoliate your skin at least once a week. In the market you will find a wide variety of exfoliate products for it, but if you prefer to save some money we suggest you mix sugar and oil with the smell that you like (coconut oil, chocolate, hazelnut …) and use it as a body scrub. Rub your body with circular motions without applying much force in sensitive areas. This prevents the dead cells remaining on your skin.
Regarding the shower it is important to use gels that help protecting the skin and that do not have many chemical components that are abrasive. We also recommend that you avoid showering in very hot water because it eliminates from the skin its natural oils. Ideally, use warm water and natural or organic gels, can also opt for moisturizing cleaners made with plant oils with properties for the skin such as Aloe Vera.
We recommend that after showering you use a good moisturizer or very nourishing moisturizing lotions, oils such as coconut oil, Aloe Vera or Sesame. You can enhance the hydration of the areas most exposed as hands and feet by sleeping with moisturizer and gloves or cotton socks.
It is also important to protect your lips. And remember that it is essential to drink water throughout the day.
